4. Why am I still getting pop-ups when Popup Blocker is active?
If you notice popups that are able to bypass the IndexBar Popup Blocker, it would be helpful if you could send us the following information the next time you see these popups:
- What webpage did you see the popup on? Please copy and paste the exact URL in your reply to us.
- Right-click the bottom of the popup and select 'Properties' from the drop-down menu. Please copy and paste the "Address" of this popup in your reply to us.
If the IndexBar Popup Blocker doesn't seem to be working on several sites, you may want to check your computer for malicious third-party software. This software is often bundled with free programs and can trigger pop-up ads no matter where you're surfing on the web. Please be assured that these programs are not in any way affiliated with IndexBar, and no third-party software is installed on your machine when you download the IndexBar Toolbar.
The IndexBar Popup Blocker is not able to stop pop-up ads generated by these third-party programs. If you think that you have an unwanted application installed on your computer, you'll most likely want to remove the application. You can visit the links above for information on a number of known parasitic programs, including suggestions on how to remove them.
